How Stockton Cooling Line works
Stockton Cooling Line is a free referral service for homeowners in Stockton and the rest of San Joaquin County. We are not an HVAC contractor. Your request goes to one independent C-20 licensed company that covers your part of the county, and that company calls you to set the visit and the price.
Who pays us
The contractor does, for passing along the lead. Homeowners pay us nothing. We never touch the equipment, and the price is between you and the company.
Who we refer you to
We only work with companies that hold an active C-20 license, the HVAC classification from the California Contractors State License Board. You can look up any contractor's license status and complaint history at cslb.ca.gov, and we suggest you do.
What we ask of the company
A price before any work starts, a permit when the job needs one, and no pressure. If your experience falls short of that, tell us at (209) 646-1163.
Where the numbers come from
Each guide lists its sources at the bottom. The temperature counts come from our own pass through the NOAA daily record at Stockton Metropolitan Airport, and the housing figures from Census Bureau survey tables for the county's ZIP codes. See the method.
